Shearwater Capital Group

Shearwater Capital Group is a credit-oriented investment management and advisory business, based in Sydney.

Shearwater launched the Shearwater Capital Special Opportunities Fund ("The Fund") in January 2009, which is now closed to new investors. The Fund invested in opportunistic credit and special situations in Australia, targeting investment opportunities generated by market conditions of illiquidity, financial distress and deleveraging. The Fund successfully made two investments, both of which are tracking well above expectations.

Shearwater is now seeking to raise a second Special Opportunities Fund, to invest in opportunistic credit and special situations across the corporate and real estate sectors in Australia and New Zealand (and selectively across the Asia Pacific Region), targeting investment opportunities generated by market conditions of illiquidity, financial distress and deleveraging. Shearwater is also launching a senior credit fund for institutional and sophisticated investors.

Our founders have an average of more than 20 years experience working across Australia and Asia and an extensive track record of successful investing. Members of our investment team are highly experienced at structuring capital solutions to meet particular circumstances whilst providing an appropriate rate of return and sufficient security to protect the interests of our investors.
